“When I grow up
I will be tall enough to reach the branches
that I need to reach to climb the trees
you get to climb when you're grown up.”
– Roald Dahl’s MATILDA THE MUSICAL
The Grand Theatre High School Project has been impacting and inspiring young talent for 26 years, at no cost to participants.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CONTINUE TO IMPACT AND CHANGE STUDENTS’ LIVES
As applications open for the 2024 Grand Theatre High School Project, Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical—a story about finding strength in one’s unique abilities—please consider helping a local youth embark on a journey to find their inner magic, just like Matilda.
With your support, the Grand Theatre High School Project will continue to:
- Inspire youth. Students thrive and build practical and transferable skills, talents and confidence through collaboration and creativity in a professional environment
- Give 50+ students the unique experience of creating a full production on the Grand’s beautiful and historic Spriet Stage
- Impact the lives of youth, well beyond the stage. Youth will become positive role models in their communities, develop leadership and communication skills, build life-long friendships and make lasting memories
- Be free-of-charge for participants. Despite the rapidly increasing costs of this high-quality, professional program, the Grand is committed to keeping the program free of charge
